About the academy

What Lapampamanagua Finance Academy is – and what it is not.

These questions clarify the purpose of the academy, who it is designed for and how it relates to your existing advisors.

Is Lapampamanagua Finance Academy a replacement for our accountant or auditor?
No. Your accountant and auditor remain responsible for statutory accounts, tax and formal reporting. The academy sits in a different place: it helps your leadership team read, discuss and use financial information more confidently inside the company.

In practice, we often work with the output of your accountant, translating it into views and conversations that make sense for founders, CEOs and operational leaders.
Who is the academy for?
The academy is designed for founders, CEOs and leadership teams of small and mid-sized companies in Italy who:
  • want a clearer shared understanding of their numbers;
  • feel current reports are too complex or disconnected from daily decisions;
  • are ready to invest attention and time into building a stronger finance language.
You do not need perfect data or a finance background. Curiosity and willingness to look at reality together are more important.
Do we need to be based in Rome?
No. The academy is based in Rome but works with teams across Italy. Most work happens online using collaborative tools. For some learning tracks, we can add in-person workshops in Rome or at your location by agreement.

Learning experience

How learning tracks and sessions actually feel.

Leaders often want to know what kind of time commitment and level of detail to expect before they bring the rest of the team in.

How much time do we need to invest?
It depends on the track you choose, but a typical pattern is:
  • an initial orientation call (around 60–90 minutes);
  • a sequence of compact workshops and working sessions (60–120 minutes each);
  • short reviews that align with your existing leadership meetings.
We design the flow so that your time is spent looking at your own situation, not listening to long lectures.
Is this a theory-heavy finance course?
No. We cover essential concepts, but always in the context of your decisions. You will see financial ideas applied to real patterns: late-paying customers, seasonality, cash gaps, conflicting growth options, or margin compression.

We avoid formula-heavy slides and focus on views, questions and meeting structures that you can reuse after the academy.
Do participants need a strong finance background?
No. We expect different comfort levels with numbers inside a leadership team. The academy is built so that:
  • finance-confident participants can go deeper when needed, and
  • others can still follow the story and contribute to decisions.
We deliberately use plain language, visual cues and grounded examples instead of advanced technical jargon.
Data, privacy and confidentiality
How we handle information you share.
Will our company data be used as public case studies?
No. We treat your internal information as confidential. Public examples and case stories on our website are simplified and anonymised. They may be inspired by patterns we have seen, but they are not direct copies of your data or decisions.
How do you handle personal data of participants?
We collect only the information needed to run the academy: contact details, role information and limited usage data for our website and materials. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated marketing.

For full details, including rights under GDPR and how to contact us about privacy, please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Can we share session materials inside the company?
Yes. Materials we create together for your company are meant to live inside your organisation. We may agree on sensible boundaries (for example, not posting them publicly), but we encourage you to share them with teams who need the clarity.
Money, risk and disclaimers
Clarity about what we do and do not offer.
Do you provide investment, tax or legal advice?
No. The academy is an educational platform. Nothing in our sessions, materials or website is intended as investment, tax or legal advice.

You should consult qualified professionals before taking financial, tax or legal decisions. Our role is to help you structure your thinking and questions so those conversations with advisors are more productive.
Can you guarantee specific financial results?
No. Every company has its own context, market, timing and choices. We do not guarantee revenue increases, profitability levels or any other specific outcomes.

What we can commit to is a structured learning process that helps your leadership team see reality more clearly and discuss options more constructively.

You do not need a polished pitch. A few honest lines about your current challenges with numbers are enough to start a useful conversation.
